Various stains can be applied to add richer/darker colours to the floorboards. In the main we use water based polyurethane sealant by Granwax. The lacquer is fast drying, seals the surface and is hard wearing. The possible finishes include matt, satin, silk, gloss and oil. Some finishes are much higher maintenance than others!
